Well I made it at last!!!

I have knocked up 50 half a century it took some time getting there but its well worth the wait. Youknow what??? when i was 14 I was saying to my classfriend what age I would be in year 2000 happen I was 42 but back then it seemed I was gonna be ancient, ha, ha. Well now I'm BIG 50 and i feel terrrrrrrific and ready to go it another 40+ years, course I might snuff it, still its been a very happy day for me today even though I've been on me own as usual.

Today started well. Mr Postie woke me up at half past 9 I was not pleased cos i wanted to have a lie-in. anyway i got loads of birthday cards from my friends, BIG ones that said FAB 50. Laureen send one with lots of 50 confetti in it. Now to the uninitiated confetti is the sparkly stuff you put in greeting cards for birthdays and weddings mainly or in shaker cards, the idea being you shake the card to see the confetti move about, get it???

Anyway after the joy of reading the (4) cards I started to get on down to some Mozza and loads of knitting after I had me breakkie, well i was trilling away merrily at full blast, boy i've got a good set of lungs on me, tell yer wot!!!

next bit was opening Chezzle's pressie. I could hardly restrain meslf yesterday (Friday so i had the teeniest peek) anyway Chez got me a cute sweet little sheep with a golden fleece - 50 golden years I expect - I am calling him Baaaaaaarry he is gonna be Cast-On Knitting club mascot. there was also some lovely teddy soap which smells deeeevine and aslo the most gorgeous sweet handcrafted stitchmarkers. thanks to you Chezzle hope you read this, soon be your special day in about 5 mins.

Anyway the rest of the day was stuffing me gob wiv jaffa cakes slurping coffee and having the most delish dinner, now I'm gonna have some curry for my Tea, cos I been bashing away at this all evening. Gotta get on down and do some Knitting. See ya fowks. I did lots of knitting today mostly the waistcoat for my beloved Chris hope he likes it. He never sent me a birthday card maybe he's just a tight git.
