THE trip of the week

by Kniterella @ 05. Jun 2008 - 12:36:45 am

:DD I went to Hull on Friday to see my ol china plate for a nice weekend of Knitting and chatting and boozing. It was a real hoot. She took us to a quaint little pub in the country we had coffee apple pie and ice cream Chez had a pudding I think then we got the ol Knitting out and just let rip. We knitted and chatted for two solid hours then we got in the car so she could meet her hubby he was just roaring in on his Suzi home from work.;D

So while Mr Al was off to bed we got on with more knitting and chats course the Zoo was all over me, the loverly Lercher was a huge dog a big softy who licked me death, softy Rupert loved to have his ears fondled he's a sweetheart I loved him I wanted to take him home. The parrot Freddy, was very amusing he whistled and cackled said give us a Kiss and did a very naughty wolf whistle, if a lady was passing their door and Freddy whistled she would probably give Mr Alan a big thump wiv her handbag over his bonce. ;D har, har. lol.

At about 7.30 we were feeling peckish so we hobbled along to her local pub. Chez ordered our meals, she had a pudding and i had apple pie and ice cream, she got me a luverly pint of Guinness I must say it was nice to have some again, boy I miss me pint of Guinness every Friday night, ahhhh them were the days. Anyway we toasted each other's health and happy birthday's then Chez being the very generous girl she is, got us a swift half each, we went outside to have halfs and guess wot??? We got our knitting out and did loads of Knitting, we chatted for hours until it was getting cold cos we were right by the river Humber boy its real wide. As we were pulling into the station I saw the massive Humber bridge its a sight for sore eyes.

We got home a bit dazed well I was well sozzled cos I never drink only on me birthday, Mr Alan was on his tod all evening with the dogs and Fish n Chips for his Tea poor lad, then he went upstairs to watch telly while we knitted and chatted all evening. Chezzle asked the time it was well past 11.30 so we called it a night. Yup, it was a helluva Knitting night.:>>;D:)):)):))

I woke up on Saturday morning at the unearthly hour of 5.20am!!!! something I would never do in a million zillion years, got meself some coffee and put on Tubular Bells, Roy Orbison and Neil Sedaka CD's, the old ones are the best, don't you agree:??: :??::??::??: I was doing some more knitting on me Noro silk Garden skirt its coming along nicely guys.

Then I went back on me airbed for a few more hours :zz::zz::zz: until Chezzle came and woke me up. I was awake anyway just resting me eyes as us old fogies say, so by this time I was really famished, we had Brioche buns for Brekkie and lots of coffee, yum slurp!!!

Anyway I was really tired then and grabbed some:zz::zz: again I was out like a light for two hours. So Chez woke we up again this time Mr Alan was playing with his big telly. I had a lovely shower washed me hair the happy couple showered too, then Mr Alan got on with baking bread. I must say he baked very tasty bread better than the paper you get in shops these days. We all had two breadcakes each mine was cheese salad filling then we had a slice each of Black Forest gateaux which was my gift to Chezzle for our birthdays, I am sending her a very special lot of pressies cos she's worth it, it was a delish dinner the best.

Chezzle made me feel very welcome and Freddy was let out and started flying around stretching his wings, he said really funny things he made me laff so much I could watch him all day. He likes to knit as well, he sits of Chez's head and picks out her hair, then get at the yarn or knitting and flyes off with it, he takes the yarn ball in his beak and tears it to shreads etc. The cats were very cuddly and Rosebud was beautiful but very quiet, she's an Amazon parrot very lovely. All too soon it was time to leave their lovely home :wave:and buzz off to my place I got home at 6.30 pm the train was fab I slept all the way home good job I didn't miss me stop.

Four new ladies came to our Knitting club Monday which is excellent news, two had to leave cos she left her car in the short-stay zone dunno, anyway we had a luverly time knitting away our blues, well my blues anyway. Sarah was gassing about her sprog as usual she's very excited about her new baby and goes on and on and on about her child. It get a bit >:XX after two hours, so I just let her get on with it. Jane and Irene were very kind to me, they very kindly gave me two beautiful birthday pressies, Irene gave me a lovely cream knitted cushion, patt from June Simply Knitting mag that she knit herself and Jane bless her girly cotton socks was busy crocheting feverishly at the beautiful turquoise shawl that just goes round me shoulders very nicely indeed. I was very touched what a nice bunch of lasses they are. The new lady came with her dear Mumsy she was knitting a lovely lacy shawl, her Mum was poorly but she liked to wander off to the till and was licking her chops at the scrummy cakes and muffins in Starbucks:>> I will get a little surprise for the ladies cos my B I G 50 is 7 June I been looking forward to it since I hit 40. I am told I look very young for my age, must be cos I slap on the ol day and night cream rather a lot lately. Today I cleansed me face and neck then washed it off, put on my nice new face mask, toner and day cream then eye stuff to stop the wrinkles and finished off with throat and neck cream, courtesy of Martha Hill organic beauty products. I must say it works, I don't have any wrinkles only a few fine lines around me eyes, the rest of me boat is wrinkle free. If this goes on Chris might still carry on with me till I'm 55, just hope I am still young like this then. cos it will be too late for us to get hitched when I'm an ol girl of 50. He will go off with some young bimbo and I'll just go to seed on me hill. Ha, ha.:DD
Well I have really done it this time angels. I upset my beautiful Chris real bad, I sent him a text he did not like it, I told him he was taking me for granted a lot lately and I was sick of him ignoring me when i rang him just for a little friendly chat. I rang him last night he said he was at work, yeah, this afternoon he blew his top, he got a bit hot saying I was ringing him too much ring, ring, ring all the time, oo er, so fellas don't like to be pestered right? Well this one does not. Anyway I managed to calm him down, poor lad is so skint he has to work nights yeah right mate, when does Superman Chris get any :zz: I ask meself???

Anyway Jo had a go at Chris' badly designed kitchen she said it was not very safe to have the cooker next to the sink so I told this to Chris and he was calmly mad at me. I told him it was not finiched off after I had paid him a lot of money i expected it to have upstands between the wall and worktops and not have the cupboards falling off when i touched them. Honest I could not get a word in so I'm just gonna leave him alone for a few days till he cools off a bit. Poor sweetheart has an abcess on his tooth so he's going mad with pain he's very tired and irritable so no wonder he had a go at me, ahhhh the pains of love. :::::::::::::::::**:

May Chris will be in the mood to see me for a long pint on me birthday he said he would, we'll see. Can't wait to see him. Chris said he would get my cooker he had a look in the trade shops he said they are about 200 nicker not bad for a good succulent casserole. I just gotta get some dosh from DSS to help pay for one.

I must get some nosh today cos I have no food at all in the house I'll have to get to bed now for some shut-eye. Ohh yeah before I go guess what Mr gorrrrgeous luverly Postie brought me today in the post, I was fast asleep cos I had worked all night on me knitting, the girl next door knocked on me back door in the evening with a huge parcel from HipKnits. At last I thought more yummy yarn.

Too right mateys. I opened up and got a most lovely surprise, three Yarn Forward mags, some coral, choc and cream sock yarn, some gorgeous coral pale yellow pale lime green and pinky with pastel orange and the most yummiest softest cshmere laceweight in lovely purples violets and bits of cream called Peace I think. Its all handpainted luxury yarns but at very affordable prices. I mean a fiver for cashmenre laceweight or is it £8 dunno. I will bring my new stash to the Knitting club on Monday for a feast for your eyes girlies and gents. Now I am off downstairs to drool over my new mags what a good read in store tonight. I think I won't go to bed till 3am, I glanced through No 1 Autumn 06 its very nicely put together and no How to Knit section either like in all the others, I was well pleased.

Well that's all for now better shut up cos I chat too much don't you think. So I hear a big resounding YES! from you all, well tuf, I cn't help it if there is a lot going on her in my little palace. I fished out a nice pattern for a washclosh or dishcloth to do with Knitting that CrazeeRockChick sent me as part of a calendar with lots of patts for each day of the year. She's a cool dude.

Better split I been on Mr Peecie all evening.

Tara for now see ya all next week.

Yours in stitches
