Hot Goss!!!

by Kniterella @ 01. Jul 2008 - 10:04:04 pm

Have I got news for you girlies.

It may be raining now quite heavily, but it rained men on Wednesday last week. Not only did I feast me eyes on my darling Chris but he brought his best friend along to help him shift me ol cooker, Mr T he's an old git but he's fun. Chris was so fab. He did all the wiring and put in new wires the thicker ones for Health & Safety, then they brought in me new cooker. I must say it was hate at first sight:##>:XX but that's just like me.:**: I love me new cooker now Chris must love me an awful lot to have gone to all that trouble in finding me a gorrrrgeous cooker like this one. I am gonna make some ginger biccies tonite. yumm I will bring them to a certain place next week.:p

I had no instructions, Chris just showed me how to use it just once. I was frantic. Its got double ovens. The top one is a grill/convection combi, the grill is half for economy or full on, there are 3 knobs for controls, and about 7 little buttons. I figured out how to set the clock by meself then I set the timer on for me first meal.:**:

I had a lovely pizza, except I did the wrong time and it was in too long so a little crusty around the edges. Anyway Chris came round Wed teatime with the instructions book which he printed off. I was so glad I sent him a text.:DD so on Thursday night....

...Chris came to see me Thrusday night we had a loooooong chat:DD and a nice cuddle. Dead romantic. He told me I'm too caring, then he said I was a diamond. OOOOh how romantic and so sweet. Course he was a bit p****d that makes a difference. Cos when he's sober he does NOT say romantic things. Anyway he was a purrrrrfect gentleman. We joked about stuff and I told him I played a joke on this chef lad that fancied me, at the canteen when I worked at Inland Revenue. It was Christmas time and I was feeling giddy (there's nowt new) so I stuffed a balloon up me dress and went into the canteen and come up to him and said loudly," Look what you've done, you should not have kissed me like that", poor lad was ever so upset so I took out me balloon and said 'Gotcha', we just laffed. Ha, ha. Chris thought it was very funny we giggled a bit. We listened to some sounds then it was getting late so he got up.

When it was time for Chris to get off home, he let me put me arms round him n he kissed me goodnight, mmmmm bliss.:DD:>> I have not spoken to him since then only briefly today, he was driving in London. I'm dying to have a chat with him.

So there were only 4 of us yesterday at me Knitting club, honest I don't know why I bother. But if it was not for the ladies coming very kindly each week, I don't think there would be a club. Anyway Jane gave me two punnets of strawberries, I don't know why I got them seeing as I'm supposed to be allergic to them. I have not had a strawberry pass me lips for many a long year but Monday and today I scoffed the lot. Today I had a very nice dessert, strawbs and a lf yogurt, hmmmmm well it cooled down me mouth cos it was on fire with the madras curry I had for me Tea.

Anyway we got on with our Knitting it was FUN. Sarah was doing a jumper, Riaz was knitting a little jumper, I was knitting a lacy shrug with mohair n cotton its in a purple and the mohair one is a lighter pastel shade with a hint of glitter in it and Jane was knitting a scarf from the sample of Black Hills wool I got from the lady that sent them to me, she wants me to send the samples back to her. I knitted a lacy sock with my bit of wool. Trouble is I don't know where I put the sock and wool samples.:::::**: I had another quick mint mocha frapp it was delish only a tall cos it was shutup time.

I got some luverly Kidsilk Night and Rowan 4-ply cotton from Yarn-in-Notts last Monday, I actually travelled there for a workshop. It was a really nice day, I woke up at 5.30am I might add)-o88| then got the coach down, bused it to Beeston. The workshop was by Emma King it was all about finishing techniques, eg, how to do buttonholes, 3needle cast-off, sew up selvedges correctly, pockets and zips we did not elaborate on but we did a shoulder seam very flat it was so fab. I really enjoyed it.:DD:DD:DD

I was in bed all day today cos my arthritis was soooooo painful :(:::: me tooth was killing me and I started with a cold as well, and I had a blinding headache as well - all day - maybe its cos of the terrible downpour just now. Its sort of stopped, maybe I can get on with me knitting now.

I sorted out me sign-in probs with Jeni at Fyberspates, I could not login but she told me how to cut n paste the password in me email, its quite easy really, I never use the right clicker. Anyway I just paid for the self-striping sock yarn club with her so I can't wait to get me Fairground sock yarn. The colours are deeeeeeelish.;D88|88|88|:))

A lady recently widowed chatted with me Monday then later on she came round to me house with guess wot???88|88|88|
some scarlet red acrylic yarn, its so soft, so I reckon I'm gonna make a hat and gloves with it. Red is such a nice colour so warm makes me want to think of a roaring log fire.

Hey you guys I had better coool it and split downstairs, cos this is becoming a looooong essay. I do go on and on a bit. Well I just have so much news to share with you all. Oooooh yea one more thing...

... Raiz and me had a conference on our telephones on Sunday. We had logged into Ravelry and were navigating the site, so I went into a group called Fave Frappuccinos and posted a comment, Riaz was positiiivly drooling over the delish flavours they have in America. So we decided that we would have a petition with the Barista to ask em why we can't have lots of Frapp flavours like they have in USA. Anyway get this guys, I asked Renee my Barista, about the Peppermint choc chip mocha frapp and why can't I have one, she said I could have one, she made it up for me and honest I was in heaven. It was so refreshing, I even told Riaz about it and now I got her hooked on this Frapp thing. I am working on Jane, she enjoyed her first Frapp two weeks ago and judging by the huge smile on her chops I think she right liked it.

Anyway angels I have to split now and get some knitting work done.
Yours in Stitches as ever

Kniterella BIG Hugs to you cookachoo Jeni THANKS again XXX

Today is a bummer

by Kniterella @ 18. Jun 2008 - 12:30:06 am

:::::: I'm overdrawn by £40, :??: How DID that happen:??::??:: Anyway I suppose I am gonna have to pay yet another bank charge. :: Why do banks do this for??? They just care about making a profit they don't care about their customers. I'm sick of it.

I went to bed at 6pm today cos I was absolutely >:XX shattered this arthritis snow joke. Anyway I must be very popular I had no less than 5 messages on me phone today, ooops yesterday, its just turned midnight. Chris my beloved rang me, I know what he's after, he's wanting some money off me for me new cooker. He was going on and on about how he asked his friend to get a cooker for me, without me having any money in me bank, I might add. How am I supposed to pay for it??? I got this huge cheque on Saturday but that's for me new bathroom, I was not well enough to go to the bank on Saturday or Monday so he was giving me gip about this fella doing Chris' head in about how he could have sold the cooker to someone by now. Complicated or Wot???

I know Chris is just concerned about me having a new cooker cos this one exploded. One day my lovely kitchen will be all finished. One day Chris will be my husband.:::: Dream on girl.

Anyway if its raining tomorrow I'm staying in bed all day, its very comfortable in there and its huge, I'm gonna fluff up me featherbed tonight and just sink in by meself, with Mrs Sally. Bliss;)

Riaz rang me 3 times yesterday and left a messagae, so I finally got back to her at 10.45pm, we surfed the Net together. R told me about www.Needles of Steel.co.uk which is a lovely site, then we went on Ravelry she signed up and is waiting for her invite. Int it good?

There were the 4 regulars at me Knitting club on Monday, my its so good to see the lasses every week. I'm so glad we meet up. Irene had knitted up some cute toys for Africa or somewhere, one toy was a little Rasta lad with a Rasta hat on, he made me smile.

Jeni from Fyberspates very kindly sent me 2 gorgeous skeins of sock yarn one is a birthday pressie from her. How sweet of her:DD:DD:DD I love you to bits jeni. Well 50 is a Big sort of birthday its half me life. I just hope I can still Knit for the next 50 years.

Me City & Guilds Knitting course is steaming along. I am half way through the 1st Module, I just can't be bothered with it somehow. But I did all the ribbing samples, now to tackle the brioche rib. I have no idea how to do this, so maybe someone out there can let me in on the secret. Then all that is left to do is the Frottage, collage chapters and type up me Wool study then about another three more chapters then I can send off me work to be assessed. OOOh er Mrs L, I hope you pass me.

Must split and finish off me curry concoction. Its a jar of Jalfrezi curry sauce, wedgie spuds bits and some mixed veg and 4 tbs of uncooked rice done in micro all mixed up Hmmmm yum!!!

Yours in Stitches :wave::yawn::zz::zz::zz:

WW Knit in Public day

by Kniterella @ 15. Jun 2008 - 09:37:13 pm

...was a great big resounding FLOP. Only 5 of us turned up. I can't understand it I put posters u in starbucks and in shops. seems to me not many Knitters here at all. we had a new lady that came, she's called Claire she was struggling with her crochet. R was knitting fevourishly away at a mans scarf and j was knitting a bag strap. i had 3 Won I got a nice pressie in the pst from ruth. I showed it to the lasses, they were very impressed with Ruth's work. You know what she sent me,
a lovely skein of hand-painted sock yarn no less a little box of celb chocs and a lovely card with big 50 on it. Yeah its been a helluva week i been partying all week, well you are only 50 once, some make it to 2 x 50, big deal.:>>

Last Monday the lovely Sandra joined my Knitting Club. it was real fun, i had the usual Java chip frapp, I must have got about 50 over the last few months cos guess wot guys??? Renee gave me a pressie from the manager, my very own vacuum seled Frapp glass with stiff straw. its fab, its very hard plastic to keep the Frapp very cold without getting frostbite in me fingers. And the pressies keep coming eh? :DD:D

I been on ravelry today it was fun I joined 2 Groups it was easy. I joined the favew Frappuccino group and a yarn group anyway I'm in there. I got a loverly PM from a lass called Lesley in h wanting to know about the Knitting course I'm on I hope she comes to me club then I can tell her all about it. Hope you get this Lesley.

I got some loverly yarn in the post from HipKnits. Its called Pinks and greens, Peace like a a dark violet lilac and cream laceweight cashemere at half price, and some chocolate cherries which are being sent in the post, 6 skeins no less. Just what was I thinking of, I think I am gonna knit meself a nice jumper with it. ;D

Well i had better go early to bed tonight:yawn: cos i have to be up early in am as i am being picked up by Jo me support worker and she's taking me to the Cellar Project in shipley. I am hoping they will take me on their Joinery course cos I'm desparate to make a bookcase and some cedar lined shelving floor to half way up the alcove, with cubby holes for my stash. Its time I got it organized. You should see it its in two storage boxes and a suitcase, its just not practical to dig in and pull out the wrong stuff, cos 9 times outa 10 its just not the one I'm looking for.

Well i had better let out Mrs sally and get some 88|nosh cos I'm famished. Its my Knitting club tomorrow as well, so hope to get another Frapp. Just been on Ravelry as you may know, and one of the lasses sez she likes a choc mint Frapp, hmmmmm sonds nice. Nowt beats my java Chip Frapp, you got the choc and coffee - a Mocha - my fave bliss.

Well i'd better hop off down stairs and get some nosh and get some knitting done I have hardly done any today. I was so tired yesterday after KIP and getting home was torture, I was in agony for over half an hour on me sofa I cried out with pain it as so bad. Yup, its gonna rain today.:no::##

Well darlinks  tara for now chow time and catch some :zz::zz::zz::zz::yawn::yawn:

Kniterella send hugs
